Mt. Tabor is a rounded mountain of 1,800 feet, said to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. At the summit, you’ll find the Church of the Transfiguration, a structure built over ruins that honors the New Testament story where, accompanied by Moses, Elijah, and 3 disciples, Jesus is finally recognized as the Son of God. Experience gorgeous views from the top or visit the Bedouin Museum in the Bedouin village of Shibli at the foot of the mountain.
